DANIEL SEDDIQUI
Baseball players and coaches better be drinking lots of water. For hours at a time, they chew tobacco, gum, salted sunflower seeds, which causes them to spit, spit, and spit. I’m always looking at the ground to make sure I don’t step in a puddle of saliva.
Would I scout a player that spits all game? Sure I would. He must be a ‘real’ baseball player. All jokes aside; being a scout is probably the most underrated position in sports. Without having a good scout, good luck on having a good team. I’m working with some of the league’s best this week. I hope this week changes my perspective of the game. I am going to learn much more being a part of the sport, rather than the spectator.

Why did you choose this career to represent Massachusetts?
I know Massachusetts' nickname is Taxachusetts, which made me think of working for the IRS, but when people think of Massachusetts, they think of Boston, and when they think of Boston they think of baseball. I am a baseball scout.
