DANIEL SEDDIQUI
This week has been much different that the rest. I had been working a different job everyday through the Visitor’s Bureau. I wrestled a sumo-wrestler on my first day for the Blackships Festival. On Monday, I was a mascot for the local baseball team, the Newport Gullies. It was harder than I thought being a mascot. I couldn’t see a thing and it felt like the head was going to fall off. I still managed to dance the crowd to their feet. Then I acted at Astor’s Mansion, where my role was to play a wealthy kid from the 1800’s. Today, I worked at a winery. Week is not over yet.

Why did you choose this career to represent Rhode Island?
This was tough. The only thing that came to mind was sailing, since Newport is the Sailing Capital of the World. I wanted to incorporate sailing into being career oriented, so I thought I try working for the Visitor's Bureau. Tourism is very high in Rhode Island and it's not just because of sailing.
