DANIEL SEDDIQUI
I crossed the border into Kentucky and the first thing I saw were kids riding horses in the rolling hills. It reminded me of crossing into Washington and it started raining. There’s no doubt that I’m experiencing these states like a native.
Kentucky is just like I pictured it. After seeing cattle grazing the West and Midwest, it was a pleasant sight to see horses in the fields of Lexington. These fields are sooo green that I’m kind of glad that it has been cloudy. I would probably go color blind if it was sunny.

Why did you choose this career to represent Kentucky?
No, not everyone is a jockey in Kentucky, but racing horses is a large part of Kentucky's culture and economy. The Kentucky Derby is to Kentucky just like the Indianapolis 500 is to Indiana. For hundreds of years the "blue grass" state has been the best place to raise thoroughbreds.
