How in the world, or should I say, how in the Georgia did I end up in Blakely, Georgia?  I thought I’d already been in the Deep South working in Alabama and Mississippi, but if you want to experience the true south, come to Southwest Georgia.  I can’t believe, for the first time that I can understand the black people better than the white.  I had coordinated this job through email because I had asked my boss to write me instead of call.  I couldn’t understand a word that he said.  I hope he’s not reading this.  haha

I am working at Birdsong Peanuts this week.  One of their plants happens to be in the neighborhood of Peanut Corporation of America, which had that recent salmonella case.  I’m sure many of you are curious about the practices in peanut plants; so am I.
