DANIEL SEDDIQUI
I knew I chose the right career for Ohio when I heard the sirens for a tornado. I was on my drive from Detroit to Cleveland, but had to spend the night in Toledo. I didn’t know what I was supposed to do or where I should’ve gone when the tornado was approaching. I had to ask someone, but they said it had already passed. I can’t believe how cold and dark it was when the storm approached, but minutes after it left it was 20 degrees warmer and sunny.
Today was my first day at the NBC studio in Cleveland, Ohio. What an amazing facility!!! I’m so grateful that I’m finally doing a job indoors during this miserable Midwest winter that I thought I had avoided. I think being a Meteorologist is going to be fun this week……..I mean I love maps.

Why did you choose this career to represent Ohio?
Cleveland has very warm, humid summers, and cold, snowy winters. The principal contributor is Lake Erie, which Cleveland lies on. The weather is so unpredictable in Cleveland, people shouldn't even bother to watch a Meteorologist, but that's what I'll be this week.
